A Winter Park couple building one of the largest homes in the area had a banner on the construction fencing around their site announcing "200 Units Senior Housing Coming Soon".

The announcement caused hubbub online, and the Winter Park planning and building departments received many inquiries from concerned parties regarding the project. The departments received so many questions that they decided to put out a special notice stating the project is indeed a single-family home, not a 200-unit senior housing project.

The single-family homeowner in construction also happens to own Tricor International LLC, one of the larger commercial real estate brokers in the area. I have not seen official reports of who put up the banner. The banner is undoubtedly an impactful way to get noticed by the neighborhood if the large crane on-site didn't already attract their attention.

I nominate this as the best April Fools' Day prank of the year.
